LOCATIONS

THE ARCADE

Located in an unknown universe, little is known about The Arcade and how it came to be, and its mysterious owner is known only as The Owner. Open from mid-morning to late in the evening, each day a variety of human gamers of all ages come to play the games old, new, and everywhere in-between. Quarters are used for all the machines, from retro to state-of-the-art.

GAME CENTRAL STATION

The hub of The Arcade, Game Central Station (or GCS) connects all games together, allowing a means of travel for the characters between their many worlds. Located inside the power strip where the game cabinets are plugged in, each game has its own train that carries characters from the game to the station and back through the game's power cord. GCS is actually comprised of several power strips, all connected via train as well, making five stations total; the Center Station, the East Station, the West Station, the North Station, and the South Station, all of which connect The Arcade's hundreds of different games! GCS is also refuge for homeless characters - those whose games have been unplugged.
GCS is maintained by the Surge Protectors, who serve and protect to keep safety and stability in The Arcade. Random security checks may be annoying, but don't be too hard on them. They're just doing their jobs.

THE COMPUTERS

In the back room of The Arcade are several personal computers not connected to the internet. These PCs are most commonly used by The Arcade's employees during their breaks, and have several games installed on them. As a result, though not technically part of The Arcade proper, the computers are still home to many a character in many a game. While traveling to the computers from The Arcade and back is certainly possible, it's not as easy as taking a single train at Game Central Station. It is a long, complex journey that involves traversing The Arcade's electrical system, which makes physically going between The Arcade and the computers somewhat uncommon.
However, since all games installed on the PCs are still connected to the rest of The Arcade through ArcadeNet, the network is usually the preferred method of communication between characters in the PC games and those in their game cabinets.

PAC-MAN

A long-standing staple of The Arcade, Pac-Man in addition provides the location for The Arcade's Bad-Anon support group, where villains can help one another take life one game at a time. Hosted by resident bad guy Clyde the Ghost in the center room, meetings are every Thursday night after The Arcade closes. Refreshments provided!

TAPPER'S

The Arcade's most popular after-hours watering hole just so happens to be the bar of Tapper. Serving both beer and root beer, Tapper's is an excellent place for characters to unwind after a hard day's work. If you're in need of advice, the bartender is the one to go to - he knows people, and never gives anyone a bum steer. Restrooms and Lost & Found are located in the back.

DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION

Spicing up the nightlife in The Arcade, Dance Dance Revolution is THE place to party! Like a gigantic night club, characters can get stepping to the hottest music mixed by The DJ in the medley of colorful dance floors - including a rave room, a disco room, an '80s room, a J-Pop room and many more!

AND YOUR GAME!

Life in The Arcade isn't just being a part of your own game - it's living in a whole universe of unique, amazing worlds where anything is possible! The only limit is the programmer's imagination!
